Collection Dates and Other Recycling Information

Mercer County will be enforcing recycling contamination by tagging bins that contain contaminants. They will be tagged with a red "Recycling Rejection Notice". If your bin is tagged, please bring it in and remove the contaminants for the next scheduled recycling day.

** You can still use the green recycling bins**

What can you recycle?

Where can you get a recycling bucket?

YELLOW recycling buckets are available at the Department of Public Works located at 27 North Harrison Street (behind the fire house) Buckets are available Monday – Friday from 8:00 – 2:30.  Buckets are free and residents can take up to 4.  

To dispose of broken buckets, use them for your weekly trash collection but mark the top “TRASH, TAKE ALL”  Please do not bring broken buckets to Public Works.

What to do with your mattress?

Mattresses can be disposed of with your regular trash. They must be wrapped in plastic before placed at the curb.
