Helping Volcano Victims in Guatemala
Guatemala has been suffering from a horrific volcanic eruption caused by the Volcán de Fuego, that has currently left 75 dead, 200 missing, and 12,000 people evacuated. In total, about 1.7 million individuals have been affected by the volcanic eruption. There is still a fear of more eruptions in the next couple of days, so this is not yet over.
Princeton Human Services will be collecting donations over the course of the next 2 weeks to send to Guatemala. This is truly a terrifying and shocking disaster, but our Princeton community can come together to provide aid and support for Guatemala. All donations will be collected at the Princeton Human Services office, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm.
Items being collected:
- First aid supplies
- Canned foods
- Personal hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc.)
- Feminine care products
- Baby care (diapers, baby wipes, bibs, etc.)
