Turning Basin is located off Alexander Street on the southern edge of Princeton on approximately 9 acres. It has a covered picnic pavilion that can be reserved for gatherings and is suitable for groups up to 50-60 people. There is also a charcoal grill available for use. The Delaware Canal State Park Walking Trail is accessible from Turning Basin. Portable restrooms are available year round. Parking is available on site and the lot often gets full on busy days during the spring, summer and fall.

There is a canoe/kayak rental location directly across Alexander Street from the entrance to the park. It is independently operated (not municipal).
