Event Information

On Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 3pm, Princeton will be hosting a meeting to kickoff it’s 2020 Census Complete Count initiative. The meeting is open to the public and will take place in the Main Meeting Room at 400 Witherspoon St.  All community stakeholders and/or a representative are invited to attend and share in Princeton’s efforts to ensure maximum participation.  Jennifer Hamilton, Regional Representative of the U.S.Census Complete Count Committee will present a brief overview.

Many federal and state aid programs for cities are based on population size.  For the ten years following the census, each community will get more funding for a variety of programs for each person counted. That is why all residents, schools, organizations, houses of worship, and businesses are urged to support Census 2020.

Princeton stakeholders are encouraged to collaborate and collectively prepare for the Census 2020 outreach.  The municipality is working to build a broad coalition, and asks that this announcement be shared with all  organizations and stakeholders in the Princeton community.
