Fire Department

Mission Statement: To promote a fire safe community through employment of education, enforcement, engineering practices, economic incentives and emergency response, ensuring all residents and visitors to Princeton are afforded the opportunity to live, work, study and play in a fire safe community.

Department Functions:

Prevention includes: 

  • Purposeful Education: parent and community education forums, school workshops, and parent coffee and conversations in home programs. Student Leadership includes programming for 11th and 12th graders through our Teen Advisory Group, Project GAIA (Growing Up Accepted as an Individual in America) and Corner House Student Board. Outreach programs support students 6th through 12th grade through Academic Support and Mentoring (AST), Support for at risk girls (STAR), Advocacy for Youth for 9th and 10th graders (AYP), World of Work for Youth for 11th and 12th grade girls (WOWY), and Princeton Youth Project for 11th and 12th grade boys (PYP). 
  • Individualized Treatment includes: Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Counseling (9 hours per week), Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center Treatment, Drug Court Treatment Program and a variety of treatment groups offered each evening for adults.
