Mercer County Nutrition Project for Older Adults

The Mercer County Nutrition Project for Older Adults offers appetizing meals that are served in settings that bring people together for activities and social interaction, important aspects of everyone's lives. The program is open to anyone 60 years old or older or anyone married to someone 60 or older. This federally funded program encourages participants to make a suggested donation of $1 for their daily meal. The COVID-19 situation has caused the Nutrition Project to change its operations. Without access to any of the buildings for meal preparation, we have established grab-and-go stations at most of the municipal sites listed below. Those who have participated in the former congregate settings may now drive to their center to pick up a frozen meal on a Monday-through-Friday basis. Special arrangements have been made for those who do not drive. Participants may still register for the program by calling 609-989-6650 or emailing adrc@mercercounty.org.

Share My Meals Prepared Meals Delivery

Share My Meals currently delivers prepared meals 3 days (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) a week in Princeton. No ID is required - only a name, address and a phone number to contact you at the time of delivery.

Jewish Family and Children Services Health Food Pantry

The on-site pantry at the Jewish Family and Children Services is open to everyone in the community. Due to COVID-19, the pantry provides prepared bags of food that include non-perishable items, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and chicken. Pick-up by appointment only using the new online form.

Meals on Wheels of Mercer County

Meals on Wheels of Mercer County provides daily, home-delivered meals to individuals who are homebound, and are unable to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, and may include weekend meals.

Arm in Arm Food Pantry

The Arm in Arm Food Pantry provides prepared grocery bags. Arm In Arm is accepting referrals for free pantry food delivery to low-income Mercer County community members who are homebound or quarantine. Currently, Arm in Arm is making deliveries 2 to 3 days a week between 10:00am and 2:00pm

Mr. Rogers' Neighbors Kindness Project

"Neighbors helping local businesses helping local residents" Happily offering warm meals prepared fresh by local restaurants; dry goods + hygiene products from our local grocery stores & pharmacies; and baked goods + sweets from our local bakeries. Serving all neighbors in need 2x per week on the days listed above from 12pm-1pm out of our Free Store/Tienda Gratis (Mount Pisgah Church, 170 Witherspoon Street).
