I want to build an addition to my house. How much more taxes will I have to pay?
  • Property Assessments closely correlate with market values. The Assessor will determine how much value you are adding to the property by building an addition. i.e. If your property is valued at $500,000 before the addition, and you could sell it for $600,000 after the addition, the added value should be around $100,000. The assessment should increase by similar percentage too.
