Committed & Faithful Princetonians
This is a Princeton-based group created to help young people ages 11 to 18 achieve academic, social and personal goals and overcome obstacles in a safe, uplifting environment.
The 7th Grade Initiative
This gives kids an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive by sharing in healthy, confidence-building activities and programs in a safe setting. Launched as a collective effort among New Jersey YMCAs in 2008, the 7th Grade Initiative encourages teens to maintain and/or adopt healthy lifestyles at an age when they are beginning to make their own choice regarding health and wellness. The Princeton Family YMCA offers rising seventh graders a free YMCA membership as part of the 7th Grade Initiative. A membership includes access to the YMCA including a pool, gymnasium, wellness center featuring cardio and strength equipment, and group exercise classes designed just for youth.
Latinos en Progreso
Latinos en Progreso is a partnership between the Princeton Family YMCA and Princeton Public Schools to provide activities and opportunities for Latino youth, ages 11 to 18, and their family members. The group focuses on developing personal goals, finding support from one another, learning about leading healthy lifestyles, and connecting more to the school and the larger community.
