NJ FamilyCare Eligibility Expansion - Cover All Kids

As of January 1, 2023, children under 19 may now apply for NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid) regardless of their immigration status. All other requirements for NJ FamilyCare still apply. For more information please visit their website: NJ FamilyCare.

For assistance in filling out applications, Princeton residents can visit Princeton Human Services at 1 Monument Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540 or visit the medical office where they seek to establish themselves as patients. Most places will help fill out the application. Call 1-800-701-0710 (TTY: 711) with questions or to apply by phone. Language translators are available.

Princeton Child Health Conferences

In partnership with the Princeton Health Department, Capital Health is proud to provide care to local children (ages 0-18) through Princeton Child Health Conferences, a program designed to improve accessibility to health care services for uninsured Princeton-area residents. While the initiative is specifically tailored to address the needs of infants and preschool children, adolescents through 18 years of age can also receive care through the program. 

Our experienced team of medical professionals at Capital Health Primary Care – Princeton will offer a range of health care services in support of the Princeton Child Health Conferences program.

Health Care Services

Patients who schedule an appointment for a Child Health Conference will have access to the following health care services:  

• Developmental screenings
• Physical exams
• Immunizations
• Routine tests (Tuberculosis (TB) tests, lead screenings, vision and hearing assessments)
• Counsel regarding growth, development, nutrition, and safety

Princeton Child Health Conferences are health clinics conducted by appointment only on a monthly basis.

Free Vision/Dental Program

The Municipality of Princeton has recently partnered with local providers to offer free vision and dental care services available for low income Princeton residents who were economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The providers of these services stood out in their enthusiasm to serve this population as well as the accessibility of their locations and availability of Spanish speaking staff.

Paper applications are also available at the Health or Human Services offices at 1 Monument Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540.
