The Municipality of Princeton has embarked on a project to revitalize the streetscape and improve the pedestrian experience on the north side of Nassau Street. Nassau Street is one of Princeton’s primary commercial corridors and a NJ State road that acts as the seam between Princeton University and the Municipality. This initiative began in 2016 with the development of Streetscape Design Guidelines. With the Municipality poised to begin implementation, the design guidelines are being refined to better adhere to regulatory requirements and to reflect the current goals of the municipality. As part of this initiative, the Municipality is considering how to better accommodate all modes of transportation including bicycles and e-scooters.
