Prepaying at the Meters & Pay Stations

You may prepay meters and pay stations for the time you need even if you arrive before the meter begins enforcement. Prepayment begins at:

  • 30-minute meters: No Prepay available Monday through Saturday, Prepay is only available Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm
  • 3 hour, all day meters and pay stations: 7 am Monday through Saturday, 8 am Sunday
  • Princeton Rail Station and Wawa Meters: no prepayment, operational 24/7

Note that if you prepay, the paid time shown on the meter will include any amount of free time between when you prepay and when the meter begins operation. For example, if a meter begins operation at 9 am, and you prepay for one hour at 8 am, the meter will show that the meter is paid for two hours. This means that you are paid through 10 am (one free hour from 8 to 9 am and one paid hour from 9 to 10 am for a total of the two hours shown on the meter).
