Nomination Petition Filing Deadline for Independent Candidates: June 7, 2022, before 4:00 p.m. to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office, 609-989-6494
Voter Registration
Mail-in registration forms are available through the Princeton Clerk's Office at 609-924-5704 or online from the New Jersey Division of Elections.
The deadline for registering to vote or changing your address before this year's June 7, 2022, Primary Election is May 16, 2022.
Vote by Mail
If you are going to be out of town or unavailable to vote on Election Day or wish to Vote by Mail, applications are online from the New Jersey Division of Elections or in the Clerk's office.
The deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail Ballot by mail for the Primary Election is May 31, 2022. You may apply in person at the Mercer County Clerk’s Office up until June 6, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.
Party Affiliation
If you wish to change your Party Affiliation for the Primary Election you must do so by April 13, 2022. Change of Party Affiliation forms are available in our office or online from the New Jersey Division of Elections and must be filed with the Mercer County Clerks prior to the deadline.
All applications must be received at the Mercer County Clerk’s Office for processing.
