Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI)

The Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI) provides information on the natural resource characteristics and environmentally significant features in Princeton. An ERI acts as a baseline documentation for measuring and evaluating resource protection issues and serves as a tool for decision-making by the municipality, including its environmental commission and planning board. It also informs the public on the status and value of our natural resources. Prior to this year, Princeton's most recent ERI was completed in 2010. The 2023 update will: (1) provide updated information based on new data, (2) conduct analyses that were not undertaken for the 2010 report, and (3) provide information that can directly inform the stewardship and protection of natural resources within the municipality. Both the 2010 ERI and the 2023 ERI may be used as references to inform municipal decisions.
