Vaccine Eligibility
6 months+ COVID-19 Vaccine Information:
The bivalent COVID-19 vaccine is now approved for ages 6 months and over. Appointments are able to be made available through NJ Vaccine finder: https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/finder. The Princeton Health Department strongly recommends residents contact their child’s primary care physician/pediatrician regarding this vaccination. In the event that individuals do not have, or are not able to access a primary care provider, please e-mail healthdepartment@princetonnj.gov and we will do our best to schedule a vaccination through our office or another COVID-19 vaccine provider.
Updated COVID-19 Vaccine Information:
The updated bivalent COVID-19 vaccine protects against the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant. Both Pfizer and Moderna have released bivalent vaccines.
As of 4/19/23, all people ages 6 months and older are recommended to receive at least (1) bivalent vaccine dose, with some groups being eligible for more. The old (monovalent) vaccines are no longer offered in the United States.
All individuals aged 65+ are eligible for an additional bivalent dose 4 months after their first bivalent dose.
For more information on staying up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines, please visit the CDC's website.
