Rosedale Road Safe Routes to School Project

Proposed Improvements:

  • Consideration of signalized control at the Rosedale Road & General Johnson Drive Intersection and removal of the existing right turn lane to Greenway Meadows Park. 
  • Widen and resurface existing sidepaths.
  • Provide new sidepath connection to the intersection of Elm Road with Rosedale Road (both county routes).
  • No improvements/impacts anticipated to structure over the Stony Brook – path will tie into existing sidewalk.
  • Existing guide rail impacted will be upgraded.

Funding:

This project is funded by Princeton capital accounts and the Federal Safe Routes to School grant program.

Proposed Schedule:

  • 2021 – Preliminary Design
  • April 19, 2022 – Public Information Center held at Johnson Park Elementary School.  If you would like to make comments regarding this project please email engineering@princetonnj.gov . Preliminary Design Comments are due by May 3, 2022. 
  • 2022 – Final Design
  • 2023 / 2024 – Construction
